Care to introduce yourself to our readers?

Richie from the band Did You Die.

Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.

My writing style is influenced by late 80s, early 90s guitar-based music with a modern tinge to it.

Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?

We are playing SXSW in March, Seattle in April, some local shows here on Vancouver Island with our friend’s MESS and Canadian Music Week in May. From what I’ve been told, our live show is a mixture of intense layered sounds that can at times…put you in a bit of a haze. You’d have to come see us or watch a clip on YouTube. I’m not the best at trying to explain our live show, ha!

If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?

People really dig ‘Channel Swimmer’ off of our album ‘Royal Unicorn’.

Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?

Right now..in no particular order: Mystery Machine. Bankruptcy. Bad Dates. Actors. SIANspheric.
