Last night, indie folk lovers gathered at l’Astral in Montreal for a very special Valentine’s Day Eve, with Hollow Coves and their Moments Tour stopping in town! The evening started with an opening set by Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Harrison Storm, who charmed the crowd with his soulful vocals, soft melodies and delicate lyrics. Throughout the set, Harrison flawlessly proved that he could not doubt carry a headline performance of his own, and made the audience look forward to spring as he announced he would be back for his own show at Le Ministère on May 23rd!

Shortly after, Hollow Coves took the stage in front of a sold-out audience. Ryan Henderson, Matt Carins and their band had the crowd in the palm of their hand, captivating every person in the audience as they went through tunes from their new album “Moments”, as well as tracks from the older EP “Wanderlust”. Hollow Coves’ set had this comforting and warm feeling of folk, paired with this growing feeling of freedom which just makes you want to rent a camper van and disappear into the wilderness. After this sold-out performance, it’s easy to see that the next time the Australian band returns to town, it will have to be in a bigger venue, but we’re ready to bet the show will feel just as intimate!
