The nominees for the 2020 JUNO Awards were unveiled yesterday at a streamed press conference in Toronto.
Leading the way with six nominations, including Single of the Year, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and JUNO Fan Choice, is pop superstar, Alessia Cara. Cara was also announced as the host and as a performer for the March 15 broadcast at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, SK.
Also announced was the first wave of performers. Fellow JUNO nominees joining Cara on stage are R&B sensation, Daniel Caesar, rockers the Glorious Sons, rising star, Lennon Stella, and rapper Tory Lanez. Previously announced Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, Jann Arden, will also perform.
The 49th annual JUNO Awards and JUNO Week 2020 will be hosted in Saskatoon, SK from March 9 through March 15, 2020. The JUNO Awards will be broadcast live on March 15 from the SaskTel Centre on CBC, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Gem streaming and globally at cbcmusic.ca/junos.
