Vancouver-based rock band Haven Chills has unveiled a lyric video for their cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
Dan Potter shares,
“Freddie Mercury’s masterpiece from 1975 is one of the most challenging songs to tackle in classic rock and I was intimidated to even attempt doing a cover of it, but as I started to learn this epic song I found many musical opportunities started to arise. Thankfully, the creative juices started flowing, shifting the task from the act of duplication into a real chance to bend things a little differently. The end result is a dynamic and unique rendition that stays true to the original even as I swapped out the distinctive piano arrangement, which I reconfigured for my main instrument; the guitar.”
