Last night, M for Montreal continued for a third day with many shows from very exciting acts all over town. We decided to head over to Le National, for Corridor‘s release party of their third record “Junior”.
The night started with an opening set by Toronto band Absolutely Free, who hypnotized the crowd with their psychedelic riffs and out of this world sounds.
Around 10pm, Corridor hit the stage in front of a packed audience. While the band has still remained somewhat underground at home, they have been making waves abroad, signing a deal for this record with legendary label Sub Pop (who, amongst many big names, signed Nirvana back in the day). After watching the indie post-punk band perform on stage, it is undeniable that their international notoriety will catch up in Quebec in no time, as they rocked the crowd with their overflowing energy, complex melodies and catchy french lyrics!
