Thursday night at Halifax’s Seahorse Tavern and Marquee Ballroom was an excellent way to kick off the 2019 edition of Halifax Pop Explosion.
Local lovelies Designosaur set the stage at The Seahorse Tavern for the week with a great set starring their latest EP, Drive, as well as some older tunes and a brand new song featuring some brilliant harmonies!
Following Designosaur, I made my way upstairs to a packed Marquee Ballroom to see some new favorites from away, Japanese Breakfast, who played a wonderfully energetic set to a very excited audience. I very quickly realized I had been missing out on something great, and I am glad to say that I’m a big fan of what I saw.
