Last night, the Germany-born, Rwanda-raised and Quebec-based Corneille graced Montreal’s Olympia with his presence as part of his Parce qu’on aime Tour, named after his latest album released earlier this year.
Dressed in a suit and sneakers, the singer joined his band onstage under a thunder of applause that barely stopped throughout the evening. The first half of the show was mostly composed of more recent hits (Le chant des cygnes, Tout le monde). After a quick intermission, Corneille had everyone on their feet singing along to the major hits that propulsed him to fame: Seul au monde, Ensemble, Avec Classe, and of course the unforgettable Parce qu’on vient de loin. Corneille and his band delivered a flawless night of charisma, groove and banter, engaging with the crowd without ever missing a note!

Hi there! My name is Marie, I am French born and raised, now living in Montreal. I work in Marketing by day, and I’m an avid concert-goer by night. I have always had a passion for photography, and realized that this mixes quite well with my love for live music (the absolute best way to experience music, if you ask me).
