Our coverage at the 2019 Canadian National Exhibition wraps up with a night of country music on the stage at Bandshell Park with none other than Canada’s own Meghan Patrick and Aaron Goodvin.
This was my second time having the opportunity to catch Aaron in action and it certainly won’t be my last! His performances always strike me as memorable and fun because of his hilarious banter and sense of humour. But, equally as memorable are his heartfelt songs, including his hit tune “You Are”.
Then, there is nothing quite like being in the audience for a Meghan Patrick concert. There is a reason she is nominated as a CCMA 2019 Female Artist of the Year and has been nominated and awarded so many previous awards by both the CCMA and CMAOntario. She has it dialled in! Yet, watching her you know that she is living out her dream and she is truly humbled by that.
The CNE marks the unofficial end of the summer and provides Toronto with a wonderful tradition of free, all-ages concerts year after year! There is still time to take in the fleeting moments of the festival as it runs until September 2nd.

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
