It’s always a great time when we get to chat with a group of talented performers, and this year’s lineup for ’77 Montreal features just that! The one-day festival takes place in Montreal on July 26, 2019, at Parc Jean-Drapeau. So far during our countdown, we have chatted with The Lookout, MUTE, Gutter Demons, Anti-Queens and now Young Party.
First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
We’re YOUNG PARTY, a Montreal based pop-punk trio. Keeping the old school pop punk we grew up to alive!
77 Montreal is a full day celebrating alternative music. How does it feel to be a part of the amazing lineup?
It’s actually amazing since this will be our very first live performance as YOUNG PARTY. We couldn’t be more excited.
Have you taken part in ’77 Montreal before? If so, what was the highlight of your previous involvement?
We’ve all attended 77 Montreal before and got the chance to see our idols playing these stages so to be on it this year is an honour.
The line-up for the 2019 installment is incredible, is there one specific performer that you’re most excited to check out?
Four Year Strong!
It’s a band we’ve all looked up to for a while
Are you performing at any other festivals this summer that you’d like to tell us about?
We’re also performing at Jackalope Fest in Montreal. Canada’s biggest skateboard festival
If you were able to put together your own festival, what would you call it, and which five artists/ bands would you want to play?
Hummm…hard one. We’d have to come up with some kind of catchy name but top 5 headliners would have to be our teenage years idols:
My Chemical Romance
New Found Glory
Jimmy Eat World
Explain your performance in less than 10 words…and go!
FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN
That’s 10 words! haha
