It’s always a great time when we get to chat with a group of talented performers, and this year’s lineup for ’77 Montreal features just that! The one-day festival takes place in Montreal on July 26, 2019, at Parc Jean-Drapeau. We started our countdown with Montreal’s own, The Lookout, then Quebec City’s MUTE, now we’re talking with Gutter Demons.
First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Here’s Johnny Töxik. Singer and guitar player for Gutter Demons
77 Montreal is a full day celebrating alternative music. How does it feel to be a part of the amazing lineup?
We’re extremely honored to be part of the event. It’s a great opportunity for us.
Have you taken part in 77 Montreal before? If so, what was the highlight of your previous involvement?
No, it’s the first time this year. Looking forward to it.
The line-up for the 2019 installment is incredible, is there one specific performer that you’re most excited to check out?
Are you performing at any other festivals this summer that you’d like to tell us about?
Yes. July 5th we’ll be part of the Psychobilly Meeting of Pineda De Mar, in Spain. The biggest psycho fest right now. 5 days of beach, sun, booze, great bands from around the world and tons of friends… and lots of cervesas!
Explain your performance in less than 10 words…and go!
Blood, sweat, blasphemy, speed, evil, Rock n’ Roll.
