PREMIERE – The Strangemakers release video for “Wait On Me”

Toronto, ON-based folk-rockers, The Strangemakers have unveiled a video for their newest single, “Wait On Me“, from their upcoming EP produced by JUNO award-winning artists, Dave Ritter, and John Dinsmore.

“Music has always been a way to express my feelings and understand where I’m at, and this song is no exception,” said Alex. “When I wrote this song I was in a really dark place – my mom had passed away in late 2016 and I was dealing with grief and depression. Tom was there to support me, and so this song is about how we navigated that journey together. How relationships can be tested by storms. Luckily, we’ve come through stronger than ever and I’m proud to share this very personal song with the world that I hope others will be able to relate to. We recorded this song in the ever-vibey Lincoln County Social Club, and I hope listeners will be able to hear the intimacy of that space as well as the intimacy of the lyrics in this final recording.”

The video was shot at Lincoln County Social Club.

The band shares on the video,

“We’ve really enjoyed working with a band in preparation for this recording and we wanted to capture that lovely live feeling and the groovy space where we recorded the song.”
