For those who wanted to celebrate the first day of summer in Montreal, there definitely was plenty to do! On our way to the venue, we encountered many St Jean-Baptiste long weekend kick-off celebrations, and of course the end of the Francos festival. Over at Place des Arts, a sold-out salle Wilfried Pelletier was also ready to party, with American indie rock band The National! Presenting tracks from their latest album “I Am Easy to Find”, as well as old classics, frontman Matt Berninger and the band charmed the Montreal crowd and left everyone impatiently waiting for the next time they come into town!
Connect with The National
Hi there! My name is Marie, I am French born and raised, now living in Montreal. I work in Marketing by day, and I’m an avid concert-goer by night. I have always had a passion for photography, and realized that this mixes quite well with my love for live music (the absolute best way to experience music, if you ask me).
