Yesterday, OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival (presented by Bell Alt TV in collaboration with Coors Light), announced the festival’s detailed schedule for the 2019 edition, taking place at the newly renovated festival site at Espace 67 of Parc Jean-Drapeau. Once again this year, festival goers are invited to enjoy 3 mind-blowing days of music and arts on beautiful Île Sainte-Hélène from August 2 to 4.
Friday August 2nd is all about the fire, with latin heat courtesy of Colombian Reggaeton phenomenon J Balvin, who will surely bring the crowd to a frenzy when he pulls out the global hit Mi Gente, and a highly anticipated set by his Con Altura collaborator and new Spanish superstar Rosalía. Other highlights include performances by trap legend Gucci Mane, future bass pioneer Flume, and a not-to-be-missed headline set by The Lumineers.
Saturday August 3rd promises to be a rapper’s delight with red hot sets from Schoolboy Q, Young Thug, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Bas, and Logic. The blast of high energy will continue with local electro heroes Black Tiger Sex Machine and Montreal favourites Sophie Tukker. Then, the block rockin’ beats will reach a fever pitch when headliners The Chemical Brothers take the stage for the first time in Montreal in 17 years! For the more mellow minded, there are also sublime performances by Beach House, Lennon Stella and bülow.
Sunday August 4th is sure to be a mega treat for fans of great music, with performances by new legends like Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and one of the most sought after producer/performers in the world, Montreal’s own Kaytranada. The kicker is that the schedule is designed such that attendees won’t have to choose between those three acts, they can catch them all!!

I have always had a passion for photography, and realized that this mixes quite well with my love for live music (the absolute best way to experience music, if you ask me).
