It’s Monday people!! You know what that means, It’s time for another edition of the #WeeklyBeatDown. This is the recurring segment where we like to featuring two music videos that have made a splash on the Canadian music scene. We then showcase them for you, the fans, in the video below. Afterward, you can go to the bottom of the page and vote for your favorite, but first, check out the full videos.
We’ve got some brand new music for you this week so what do you say we jump into them. Our first artist up to the plate, heavy metal band Striker from Edmonton, Alberta have just released the video for “On the Run” off their latest album Play to Win. They’re going to be heading out on tour on the 14th with Glam rockers Steel Panther if you want to check out the dates on their Facebook page.
Returning for their fourth week here on our beat down. The country rockers Renegade Station from Stettler, Alberta are back once again with their smash of a single, “Along for the Ride” which recently hit 100,000 streams online. They are going to be performing on the Calgary Stampede Caravan Committee tour starting on July 6th. The dates for that are up on their Facebook page and you can take a look at the full video below.

Before you think it, no it’s not like the TV show! I have loved music ever since I was a kid back in Abbotsford, BC where I was born. Moved up north when I was about six and was practically raised up here. Hands down one of my favorite Canadian band has to be Simple Plan, with Dallas Smith coming in second. One of my Favorite Things I enjoy doing is just sitting around listening to music or taking pictures. I’d say I’m a pretty good photographer but you can be the judge of that.
