Welcome to this lovely Monday morning, thank you all for joining us for another edition of the #WeeklyBeatDown. This is the recurring segment where we like to feature new music that just recently made a splash out there into our great pond that is the Canadian music scene. We will show you two clips from our competing artists in the video below, then you get to decide for your favorite at the bottom of the page.
Starting today all the way until Saturday night at midnight, you can cast your votes. The song with the most votes at the end of the week is going to be moving on to the next Beat Down. But that’s enough of an explanation, let’s jump into the music!
Our newest competition this week is an artist I’ve been waiting for a long time to showcase. Vancouver’s pop-punk band Chase Your Words has just released their very first single and music video for “Battle Scars” off their upcoming new album. At the moment they’re out on a mini-tour with Luna Coast which will be finishing up at the end of this week back in BC. Check out their Facebook if you want to see the dates and take a look at the full video below.
Returning for their third week in a row here on our Beat Down. Country rockers Renegade Station from Stettler Alberta have returned with the title track off their latest album “Along For the Ride”. They just announced that they will be the supporting band for the Calgary Stampede Caravan tour starting in July. You can check out all the dates on their Facebook page, and you can check out the full video below.
That’s it for this week’s edition of the Beat Down, be sure to go vote down below and share with your friends using the hashtag #WeeklyBeatDown.
Thank you all and I hope to see you here next week with some brand new music. Right here on the #WeeklyBeatDown.
Hey there! I’m Zach I love long walks on the beach and movies that make you cry. Wait a minute this isn’t my E-Harmony account. Let’s try this again, hi I’m Zach from Dawson Creek, BC. Before you think it, no it’s not like the TV show! I have loved music ever since I was a kid back in Abbotsford, BC where I was born. Moved up north when I was about six and was practically raised up here. Hands down one of my favorite Canadian band has to be Simple Plan, with Dallas Smith coming in second. One of my Favorite Things I enjoy doing is just sitting around listening to music or taking pictures. I’d say I’m a pretty good photographer but you can be the judge of that. Just even ask a couple of my friends City light vigil, Scarlet serenity or Violet night. If you’re still reading this congratulations you’ve reached the end.
