Earlier today, POP Montreal announced its line-up for the 2019 edition, taking place September 25-29. Once again, the non-profit, artist-centric international music festival prioritizes diversity and creativity when curating its distinctive programming. Representative of the local music and arts community, POP Montreal delivers an event of discovery previewing emerging acts and distinguished global entertainers, all the while celebrating the city’s innovative and culturally diverse music scene.
From New Zealand singer-songwriter Aldous Harding, Palestinian group 47soul, Congolese music collective KOKOKO!, Japanese 80’s pop punk band Shonen Knife, Grammy-Award winning Tinariwen of Northern Mali, Brazilian live electronic act Teto Petro and many more, POP Montreal continues to create a unique space in the festival landscape for music fans. In addition, Nick Cave, Torres, Xiu Xiu, Laurie Anderson, Hollerado, Weyes Blood, Colin Stetson, Yung Baby Tate and more join the expansive array of multi-genre acts.
Adding to POP’s extensive music showcases, the festival hosts a variety of programming including; Film POP, Art POP, POP Symposium, Puces POP, and Kids POP —the five day event is sure to have something for everyone.
