April 30, 2019, was a night to remember in Calgary Alberta at the Grey Eagle Event Center. When you get legendary Sacramento rockers, Godsmack, on the same bill with the Danish hard rock titans, Volbeat, grab your tickets fast before they sell out at the venue.
Starting the night out was newcomers Stitched Up Heart. Fronted by female powerhouse Alecia “Mixi” Demner tearing up the stage making everyone know they are here to stay in the hard rock community. If you want to add a new artist into your music library, Stitched Up Heart will fit perfect in your selection.
Blues-rock, hard rock, feet moving, crowd surfing songs is what you can expect from Danish rockers Volbeat, who have become a mainstay on every hard rock radio station across the nation. Out to promote their new release of their live album Lets Boogie. They played all of their hits from “Warrior Call”, “Lola Montez”, “The Devils bleeding Crowns” and “Black Rose”.
Rounding out the night was Godsmack, starting with the new single “Legends will Rise.” The roar of the crowd blew the roof off the Event Center. After years performing together as a band, Sully Erna and the men of Godsmack are constantly showing they are true legends. Promoting their new album “When Legends Rise”, this tour is not one to be missed.

My name is Mike and I live in Southern Alberta but travel around to photograph concerts I get lucky to attend. After having my first photo published 10 years ago, I had found the excitement of concert photography and continued to pursue the passion. I have worked with many influential artists in the music industry including ones I has idolized growing up. There is no better feeling then the energy of a crowd whether it be in front of thousands of fans or a small intimate show and being able to capture that energy to share on to fans who were unable to attend. When I am not enjoying a concert, I am usually relaxing at home with a glass of whiskey and enjoying some great company.
