“We’re incredibly excited about this year’s lineup. We’ve been able to grow this festival steadily over the past four years with the support of incredible partners and sponsors, and of course the fans. This year we’ve added a third night of music at Long Wharf and we couldn’t be prouder of the lineup we’ve put together. We’re so proud to offer such an amazing weekend of music, culture, and goods. It’s is our biggest year yet.”
Friday’s Main Stage line-up includes: Joel Plaskett Emergency, Wintersleep, FM Berlin, and The Backstays. Saturday’s Main Stage line-up includes: Interpol, Matthew Good, Dear Rouge, The Motorleague, Christina Martin, Jamie Comeau & the Crooked Teeth, and Kylie Fox. Sunday’s Main Stage line-up includes: City and Colour, Tokyo Police Club, Rural Alberta Advantage, The Galpines, Les Paiens, Bleum, and The Crossroad Devils.

As in past years, AREA 506 is all about celebrating the best examples of New Brunswick’s varied cultural make up. However, organizers are turning the AREA 506 Cultural experience on its ear for 2019, when the Container Village will play host to pop-up cultural showcases from world-class performers, led by groups like Atlantic Cirque and representation from First Nations among others, who will bring our heritage to life in new ways throughout the weekend.
Area 506 will take place in Saint John on Long Wharf over the New Brunswick Day long weekend, Friday, August 2, Saturday, August 3, and Sunday, August 4. Full line-up details and schedules are available at Area506.ca.
Hi there! My name is Marie, I am French born and raised, now living in Montreal. I work in Marketing by day, and I’m an avid concert-goer by night. I have always had a passion for photography, and realized that this mixes quite well with my love for live music (the absolute best way to experience music, if you ask me).
