Canadian singer-songwriter Annie Sumi is back and has joined forces with award-winning filmmaker Ben Bruhmuller on her new video for her dream-folk ballad “Time is a Dream”.
“The song itself is wrapped in surrealism and fantasy and is on the fringes of bizarre,” Sumi says. “When Ben launched his own imagination and creativity into the narrative, I think it takes the viewer on a wild and unforgettable ride.”
To create the stunning visuals, Bruhmuller reached into his filmmaker’s bag of tricks, stitching together scenes comprised of puppetry, film manipulation, and colourful ink tank images.
“Seeing the video for the first time blew my mind and pushed me into an entirely new realm that existed within the song,” Sumi says. “I feel so fortunate that someone as talented as Ben was willing to collaborate on this project.”
