Toronto-based singer-songwriter Skye Wallace has just released her first single and video from her upcoming self-titled album coming June 7th. The song is called “Coal in Your Window,” and was written with a specific story in her mind. However, it’s very universal and envokes exciting, dangerous and lustful energy.
Skye Wallace blends her classically trained musical background with a contemporary writing style. Many of her songs have roots in folk and share stories based on Canadian history, but the style is punk, rock and unrestrained. Her previous album, Something Wicked, was named one of Vancouver Weekly’s “Best Albums of 2016”, and CBC’s “Top 8 Albums You Need to Hear This Month.”
