Country’s Danny Sylvester is once again throwing his voice behind the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and the third annual Sing Out for CHEO! set for February 22 at the Lone Star Loft.
The 2019 Sing Out for CHEO! event will feature Ottawa’s Rainwater Whiskey, and Sylvester himself, whose support of the event stems from watching his young daughter receive the care and support she needed by the doctors, nurses and care specialists through her Muscular Dystrophy diagnosis.
New this year, Sing out for CHEO! is giving three lucky artists the chance to also perform at the event to help raise money for the CHEO Foundation, which supports family-centered children patient care facilities in Ottawa and the Outaouais region. The event will also feature a silent auction.

Born and raised with thoughts and aspirations of becoming a famous bassist in Sarnia, ON; Emily Plunkett now lives in Gatineau, QC, and considers National Capital Region home sweet home. A product of the Beatles, MuchMusic and the Southwestern Ontario summer festival circuit (circa 2000), her interest and love in concert photography came almost completely by accident when her journalism program at Algonquin College required courses in photojournalism (and she quickly realized that photos taken at concerts using a DSLR are enormously better than ones she was taking on a point-and-shoot she bought for a trip to England). She is extremely proud of the fact she has seen Sloan in some form or another 25 times.
