Who: The Trews with Altameda
When: Friday, February 1st, 2019
Where: The Palace Theatre, Calgary, AB
The Palace Theatre in Calgary was electric on Friday night as music lovers welcomed veteran rockers The Trews and Edmonton’s Altameda.
Altameda wasted no time in establishing they are a band will that be around as long as The Trews have been. Touring in support of their just-released album Time Hasn’t Changed You, the bluesy rockers impressed the crowd with offerings from the new album and their first LP released in 2016.
Another ecstatic crowd awaited The Trews to hit the stage and they did not disappoint, opening with a fresh track (Vintage Love) from their terrific new album Civilianaires. The performance was stellar as they drew from their huge catalogue and the new LP. The new music went over fantastic as many in the crowd were singing along to the new material already. Of course, The Trews brought the house down with some of their famous hits like Not Ready To Go, Hope And Ruin, Poor Old Broken Hearted Me and a blistering closer with Hold Me In Your Arms and a cover of Beastie Boys’ Sabotage. The Trews are in the midst of their Canadian tour – be sure to catch them when they are in your town!
