Jess and Tay, otherwise known as Jessie Bower and Taylor Adams. The two songwriters are currently living in Toronto, ON in their 4th year of Humber College as Vocal Majors in the Bachelor of Music Program.
The two have performed in venues all across the GTA and Hamilton, as well as one of the top 7 Emerging Aritst at the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase and the 2018 Havelock Country Jamboree!
We caught up with them for our newest segment of Five Questions With.
Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
We are Jess and Tay, a country music duo from Toronto! We’ve been playing and writing music together for 4 years. We always had a passion for singing and performing. We enjoy writing and arranging our own music and our passion started to flourish realizing that performing our music is what we wanted to do.

Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
We would suggest our to-be-released single “Bad Luck if You Don’t”. We completed writing it in the fall of 2018 and it will be on our upcoming EP (no release date set yet, so stay tuned!) We can’t wait for people to hear this one because it’s about ourselves growing up, and about how you shouldn’t always take life so seriously, let loose and live your life to the fullest.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?

Like the impact Madeline Merlo had on us, all we could ask for is for people to listen to our music and say it had an impact on them, that is the biggest compliment of all.
