“If you think about what his day to day must be like, it’s probably a very hard and thankless job; Mrs. Claus has been spending the last few holidays with her girlfriends in the Florida Keys to escape the cold. After all their hard work, the elves and reindeer return to their families and Santa finds himself alone. No one is there to hang his stocking or put a present under his tree. “The snow and the cold, the growing old, the weight of such great expectation, the lights and the trees, the sled, and the wreaths, it’s all such lonely work when you’re make believe”… Santa most definitely needs a Santa.” Bonnell shared about the song.
“Santa Needs A Santa” has already been added to Spotify’s Christmas In Canada playlist. Bonnell also recently released her album Separate Rooms which is a collection of 10 new songs that explore not only timely themes but is also a bold statement of a self-assured woman navigating an increasingly dark and perplexing world.

Music has touched my soul since day one. Whether it is performing or sitting down with some of the biggest names in music, I can always be found sharing my profoundly tender affection of music with anyone who will listen. Being a music journalist has allowed me to expand my knowledge of music and interact with some of my biggest childhood heroes. From days of radio broadcasting to sitting back, kicking off my cowboy boots and sharing my adventures with likeminded music fans online has been nothing short of amazing. Canada is full of true musical talent and I look forward to continuing to share my adventures in music with you.
