Canadian Beats Passport – IN PHOTOS – John Butler Trio & Jon Bryant in Toronto, ON

Who: John Butler Trio & Jon Bryant
When: November 25, 2018
Where: Danforth Music Hall, Toronto ON

Sunday night at The Danforth Music Hall, Jon Bryant brought together the East and the West Coast of Canada, filling the hall with some of his maritime roots. That vibe is carried out within the coastlines of Australia. Opening for John Butler Trio, playing the keys, guitar, and singing, Jon gave us a taste of that same Indie Folk Rock soundscape; we were about to witness.

All the way from the furthest side of the world, Western Australia, John Butler Trio gave us their all. Engaging in Melody, Music, Body, Mind, and Spirit, all while honouring ancestors from past and present. If you want to live in this moment, dance your butt off, and marvel at some serious Guitar skills, be sure to catch these guys

Working hard for that Artist /Parton Connection, this trio brought me some home away from home. I had lived just a few kilometres away, in a suburb of Fremantle, WA, Australia, about 12 years ago. I was missing WA, but felt not far from there, as John Butler Trio’s newest album, is tilted HOME.

Wandering EMm Photography origins came from a wanderer who saw the world in vibrant colour, unique compositions, and an understanding of the dance between light and dark. With her ’Beastie’ as she affectionately calls her camera, EMm can be found at most events, festival, and of course, is a regular at a concert. EMm has a strong passion for music. Using her camera, EMm can capture that moment in time where melody meets lyric, and exists as memory. Musicians have a tiny window to imprint you with their gift of song, given as thoughts, emotions, and experiences. EMm would like to seize that opportunity, and photograph that moment when it all connects. ‘How far will you wander… creatively?’
