Who: Headstones & The Matchstick Skeletons
When: November 16, 2018
Where: Grey Eagle Event Centre, Calgary AB
The opener for the Calgary stop on The Picture of Health Tour was The Matchstick Skeletons. People on upcoming stops should definitely be arriving early to check out this band, as they put on a great show. Check out their newly released single, “Told Ya So“, and you’ll get a feel for what they offer up.
When the headliners, Headstones hit the stage, the crowd lit up. Vocalist, Hugh Dillon was cool and friendly, interacting with the fans, and also asked that the fans hide their cellphones and enjoy the show. During the show, I did not see any phone up, the crowd respected his request, as well as respected the rest of the audience, with very little pushing, shoving or anything in between.
All in all, this was a great show and I recommend you check out both of these bands if you’re able, there are still a number of dates coming up.
