Where: The Commonwealth, Calgary, AB

I knew it was going to be a special night when I opened up the doors to an absolutely packed room at the sold-out Commonwealth and could sense the anticipation and excitement for what was about to take place. Jordan Cook, aka Reignwolf, has not been around these parts in a few years and the throng of music lovers were eagerly waiting his return.

The house lights went down and Reignwolf hit the stage with an unparalleled barrage of fuzz/blues/southern rock that that had the crowd in the palm of his hand for the rest on the night. Drummer Joesph Braley and bassist Stacey-James Kardash were up to the task of keeping up with Cook and together the trio proceeded to rock the doors off the establishment – and literally blowing the fuses to the stage power on three occasions. The lads even got up close with the crowd as they jumped on the floor with guitars and drums in tow to play a portion of their set.

It was such a treat to see a band and audience so connected – this is one show I won’t forget for a long time.
