Canadian whiplash tyrants FALLEN LEGION have teamed up with Technical Music Review to showcase drummer Dylan Waybrant’s new playthrough for the band’s track “Way Out” off their latest EP Downfall which was released this past May.
“Way Out is easier than it looks, but harder than it sounds. The opening drum beat was fun to put together and I don’t normally have to notate my music to understand it.”
Watch Waybrant show off his skills in the video below.
Fallen Legion’s latest EP Downfall (which peaked #7 on the Top 20 July 2018 Canadian College Radio Loud Charts) features six energetic, unorthodox, progressive, spirited and memorable tracks plus guest vocals and keyboard from Cradle of Filth’s Lindsay Schoolcraft on “New Skin”.
The band comments,
“This EP is about dealing with stress- mortal blows, drugs, thoughts of suicide, the inner struggle, and the wrath of it all. The EP represents the outcome of painful experiences. Songs like ‘Escapegoat’ deal with not being able to handle the consequences of one’s actions and pushing them onto those weaker than yourself, and ‘Monster Reborn’-about letting the guilt build up inside, trapping one within their own mental anguish.”
Hey there! I’m Zach I love long walks on the beach and movies that make you cry. Wait a minute this isn’t my E-Harmony account. Let’s try this again, hi I’m Zach from Dawson Creek, BC. Before you think it, no it’s not like the TV show! I have loved music ever since I was a kid back in Abbotsford, BC where I was born. Moved up north when I was about six and was practically raised up here. Hands down one of my favorite Canadian band has to be Simple Plan, with Dallas Smith coming in second. One of my Favorite Things I enjoy doing is just sitting around listening to music or taking pictures. I’d say I’m a pretty good photographer but you can be the judge of that. Just even ask a couple of my friends City light vigil, Scarlet serenity or Violet night. If you’re still reading this congratulations you’ve reached the end.
