Hall of Fame recipient and award-winning Toronto, ON-based band Across The Board is back with a brand new video for their single, “It Shouldn’t Be This Hard”. The single is the second to come from their latest album, Sonic Boom.
Sonic Boom chronicles the journey of a small-town girl dreaming of bringing her music to the big city. This single describes that point where frustration meets determination, which comes with a recommitment to the goal after experiencing the trials, tribulations and realities of “making it” as a musician. This song will likely resonate with many, if not all musicians out there, working to make it through their music.
“It Shouldn’t Be This Hard best represents the direction we have come as a band after four years of writing, producing, performing and digging deep to create our own version of Canadian rock,” comments Jacqueline Auguste, front-woman of Across The Board. “It’s tough to pigeon-hole us into a genre or sub-genre; we want to represent a contemporary take on the rock genre with lush harmonies, catchy electric guitar riffs, storytelling lyrics and a touch of the past with a solid vision for the future.”
