Northwoods Records recording artist Rebecca Rain brings us her newest single “Every Direction”, an upbeat track that sings of the woes of looking for love in all the wrong places – wrapped up in Rebecca’s down to earth, roots country sound.
The Wasaga Beach, Ontario based singer songwriter’s sound has been compared to Blue Rodeo and The Lumineers with strong elements of traditional country. “Every Direction” was released to Canadian Country Radio last Friday and is already receiving airplay and garnering attention from Canadian Country fans alike. When asked what inspired her to write the song Rebecca says, ” Like many, I’ve had my fair share of heartbreak so when a new relationship came on the horizon for me I was afraid to jump in with both feet. I felt like my heart was pulling me in all different directions. I wanted to try and make sense of my fear of falling in love so I wrote this song and hope that others can relate to having your heart be in every direction.” Rebecca is gearing up for an exciting year as she plans to release more singles and eventually an EP titled “Heartbreak Revival”.

I shoot live music performances and concerts. I love the excitement of entering a venue, knowing that I’ll be photographing a concert and enjoying the energy of the crowd. There’s nothing like being in a venue and looking at the expressions on the faces of people who are all transfixed by the talent onstage. I shoot about 120 shows each year, averaging 2 bands per show, as well as several all-day and weekend festivals in and around Southern Ontario. From the large venues to very small ones, bright lights or barely lit stages, I hope that my photos capture the enjoyment the artists have in doing what they love to do.
