Who: Hugo Alley & The Roxborough
When: Tuesday, September 4, 2018
Where: Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto

We walked into the notorious Horseshoe Tavern on Queen St and it was brimming with happy patrons waiting for Indie night to begin, like many Tuesdays before local bands and artists come to play at the Horseshoe Tavern and make history.

We watched as Hugo Alley, a local band from Kitchener, take the stage. They tuned their guitars, checked the volume or their instruments and mics and got ready to play. Once they played their opening song, the crowd was loving them. Their music was able to get people up from their seats, dancing on the checkers of the dance floor. The men of Hugo Alley brought such a warming atmosphere to all of the patrons, that even if you weren’t there for Indie night, you made your way to the stage to see who was playing.

Later that night, The Roxborough took the stage and brought the house down and if you thought you’d been blown away by the music and the energy then you will be surprised when you go to check out The Roxborough at their next show. Their music encompasses everything you expect in a song, a great beat, meaningful lyrics and they like to make sure that it is loud!

Whether you’re just passing through Toronto on a Tuesday night or need something to do, check out Horseshoe Tavern because you never know who you might discover, I was lucky enough to see Hugo Alley and The Roxborough bring a new sense of joy and excitement to the music scene and cannot wait to see what is to come from them!
