Vancouver based folk musician Haley Blais has debuted her music video for “Seventeen” off of her newly released ablum, Let Yourself Go. The record – her third following 2017’s Zero Charisma (Demos) was released in April.
“Seventeen” is a gentle folk track that includes elements of soft and indie rock with a slight psychedelic edge – largely through the song’s use of wind instruments, layered vocals and effects. The video is made up nearly largely of candid footage of Blais and her band.
Blais and her band will be performing Vancouver’s SKOOKUM Festival this September.
I’m Gerrod, a Toronto based writer and musician. As soon as I started drumming, music became one of my greatest passions. Since then, I have also picked up the guitar, bass, and a hint of the piano. I am currently studying music and education at York University, and drum in a local hard rock band, One In The Chamber. This puts me right in the heart of Toronto’s growing music scene.
