Fort Saskatchewan, AB’s own Donny Lee‘s newest single, “Another Round Of You” is about as fun as it gets. It’s always great hearing an upbeat country song that you can easily sing along with, and that’s what this track is! We had a chat with Donny Lee in our newest segment of Five Questions With below.
Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Donny Lee, a country music singer-songwriter. I live in both Alberta and Nashville pursuing my dream of playing country music for a living.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
My first album was made up of 7 songs that I wrote with my wife. We love the traditional, real country music sound with meaningful lyrics in songs and I think we accomplished that. The music that I love to perform is storytelling and includes high energy material so we wrote both ballads and faster-paced fun style songs to fit into my live shows.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
I play full time when I am in Nashville and I also book shows at venues in Canada, I have an upcoming show in Hamilton during CCMA week Sept 8th and in Alberta on Sept 29th, October 1st, & 25th. My schedule is on my website at donnyleemusic.com
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
Another Round Of You is a fun, uptempo song that is fun to perform.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/artists?
James Barker Band, High Valley, Tebey, Paul Brandt and Washboard Union are some of the acts that come to mind when I think of great Canadian talent that I enjoy listening to.
I’m Jenna, and I am the founder and editor of Canadian Beats. I have had a strong love for Canadian music, which started many years ago. I have a passion for promoting these talented Canadian bands and artists, and that’s how Canadian Beats came to be. I am so proud of what it has become over the last few years, with many talented music lovers and writers coming together to spread the word of Canada’s music.
