Born in Manitoba, raised in British Columbia and Manitoba, currently living in Nova Scotia, Elsie Morden is a country music singer-songwriter and motivational speaker. And, on her birthday (July 30), she released her single “Spontaneous” to Canadian country music radio. It’s the first track of ten on Morden’s self-titled debut album.
Written by Morden, “Spontaneous” is a fun, upbeat song that tells a sweet story of love. It’s co-produced by Elsie Morden, Dave Wasyliw (Doc Walker), Murray Pulver (Doc Walker), Ariel Posen (Chad Brownlee, The Bros Landreth), Cody Iwasiuk (The Bros Landreth, Jess Moskaluke), Brennan Wall (Jess Moskaluke, David James, Nicole Rayy), Kenny Byrka (Sleddogs), Shawn Dealey (Doc Walker, Counting Crows, Avril Lavigne) and Rich Chycki (Rush, Aerosmith, Pink). It was recorded at both the Exchange District Studios and Private Ear Recordings in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
“Consistency, patience, focus, determination and lots of hard work have gotten me here. I can’t wait to see where “Spontaneous” will take me!”

“I never expected this, it’s spontaneous.”
As well as being a country music artist, Morden is the founder and CEO of the No Time for That Anti-Bullying Society, a youth ambassador for Kids Help Phone and an Honourary Rotarian. Starting mid-September, Morden will embark on a 14-week national tour visiting radio stations and schools in partnership with the charity she founded, “No Time for That,” using personal stories and music to educate and empower youth about bullying prevention and mental health awareness.
Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
