Ahead of their upcoming – and as of yet, untitled – album due for release on September 21st, Metric have released a music video for their latest single, “Dressed To Suppress”. The release of the single comes just a week after the album’s lead single, “Dark Saturday”, was released – featuring a music video shot entirely on director Justin Broadbent’s iPhone X. “Dressed To Suppress” is another Broadbent creation, but follows the band through a single continuous shot performance of the song. For their first album since their 2015 release of Pagans In Vegas, Metric seem to be returning to their pop-rock roots with a sound nostalgic for their early work.
Metric are currently touring across North America opening for The Smashing Pumpkins current near-complete reunion of their original lineup tour with upcoming shows in Montreal (August 7th), Toronto (August 8th), and London, Ontario (August 9th). Following this, Metric will embark on their own tour across Europe throughout the course of the fall.

I’m Gerrod, a Toronto based writer and musician. As soon as I started drumming, music became one of my greatest passions. Since then, I have also picked up the guitar, bass, and a hint of the piano. I am currently studying music and education at York University, and drum in a local hard rock band, One In The Chamber. This puts me right in the heart of Toronto’s growing music scene.
