Who: The Free Label
When: Sunday, July 8, 2018
Where: Mariposa Folk Festival, Orillia, ON
Funk/RnB band The Free Label put on a fun and energetic show Sunday night to close up Mariposa Folk Fest in Orillia.
The band played an upbeat set that included covers of Bruno Mars’ “Treasure” and “24K Magic”, as well as their own new single, “All Night”.
For such a young band, The Free Label is so well put together. It’s clear that they’ve already established a brand for themselves; all members wear matching outfits of blue suits, and they cover songs in a way that makes them completely their own. Beyond that, they convert their great musical talent into entertainment with ease.
Despite some interruptions from the audience, the band put on an effortless show that had the whole crowd dancing, singing, and most importantly, having lots of fun.
Be sure to check out their new single, “All Night”!

My heart belongs to the alternative and indie genres, but I enjoy pretty much any kind of live music. You can check out more of my work at hannahmaynes.ca, or on Instagram @hmaynesphoto
