On June 29, this 2017 CCMA Discovery Program finalist duo, hailing from Vancouver, BC, Sons of Daughters (Chrystal Leigh and Jimmy Thow) digitally released their debut single “Can’t Find Love in a Bar” via RGK Entertainment.
Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, the duo and Jennifer Kennard wrote this ballad. Thow was also a part of the production of “Can’t Find Love in a Bar.” Son of Daughters want to carve into the modern country music scene their gritty and unique sound through their riveting lyrics and beautiful harmonies.
“Can’t Find Love in a Bar” tells the tale of the heartbreak experienced by falling in love that is followed by that love falling apart – while sitting in a bar “with jukebox to play to this heartbroken heart.”
Says Chrystal Leigh,
“The song was inspired by our own individual experiences with falling in love, heartbreak and getting back on your feet.”
Watch for two more digital singles that will be released this summer. At the end of July, their second single “Ain’t Gonna Be Lonely Long” will drop, followed by “What If We Stay” in August. Early this fall, the duo will release “Can’t Find Love in a Bar” to Canadian country music radio.

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
