Without even hearing her music, you know that Adriiana is a force to be reckoned with. And once you press “play”? There’s no going back from her slick, yet sultry vocals, tight beats, and addictive melodies; just the perfect combo for another beautiful summer. Check out her newest track, “Stay Good” below:
It’s such an inspiring thing to see more & more strong females front-and-centre in the music industry, yourself included. Who are the first artists that you remember sitting up and noticing the most?
Thank you so much. I am inspired by so many different artists, as they all bring something different to the table. Since I was younger, my top inspiration would be Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Lady Gaga. They have such a raw spirit and style to them, I absolutely love it!
Your new single “Stay Good” just screams SUMMER! When it comes to the creation process of new music, how involved do you like to get in the studio?
I love to be 100% involved in the creative process. From the beat making to writing to melodies, it all plays a part. I enjoy co-writing the most, as you get the best of both worlds- talented writers come together to create something epic.
Looking back on your experiences on the TV side of things (top 16 on YTV’s Next Star, having a song chosen as the promo for season 2 of Khloe and Lamar), how much would you say these helped progress your career more quickly?
I’d say it helped tremendously. Commercial TV is one of the best exposures someone can get. I was very fortunate and blessed to have those opportunities.
Having just passed one year since signing with Tommy Boy Records, what would you say are the top 3 most exciting things that have happened since then?
I actually signed my record deal with Tommy Boy on my birthday one year ago. Since then we have dropped two singles “Good Love” and “Stay Good”. Its been a great experience working hand in hand with them. I am so excited to be announcing future shows coming this year!
You had the chance to collaborate with Gucci Mane on previous single “High Heels” as well as work with Akon a few years back. How did those connections come about? Who else in today’s music world would you love to work with?
I had an incredible opportunity to be able to collaborate with Gucci Mane, as well as sign to Akon’s record label Konvict Muzik. I moved out to Atlanta about two years ago to pursue working with other artists and expanding my music catalogue. Sometimes its just the right place at the right time. Gucci Mane was super excited about High Heels, and I think he killed the song with his feature. In the future, I would like to work with so many different artists such as Eminem, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Ariana Grande, The Weekend, Drake, the list goes on…
What’s next for you?
There are so many exciting things happening, I can’t wait to share with everyone! Stay tuned for new records and a tour I will be featured on!!
