If you’re looking for something fun, music related, and inexpensive to do this summer, look no further. Every summer for two nights a week, Peterborough’s picturesque Del Crary Park becomes one of the best spots for free live music in Ontario. Peterborough Musicfest is fast approaching and we’ve got the info you need to be a part of it.
Starting June 30th, the festival hosts popular Canadian artists from a variety of genres every Wednesday and Saturday night. The shows start each night at 8PM, and best of all: they’re absolutely free! Generous sponsorship and donations have allowed the festival to run for 32 years free to the public.
In the past, Musicfest has seen great acts such as Walk Off the Earth, Emerson Drive, and Carly Rae Jepsen, and 2018 is no different. This year’s lineup includes The Trews, Magic!, Howard Jones, Scott Helman, and Alan Doyle just to name a few. Check out the festival’s official poster for the full lineup.
Keep an eye on their website for more info!
Hey, I’m Hannah! I’ve loved music since before I can remember, and I’m so excited to be combining it with my love for photography. My heart belongs to the alternative and indie genres, but I enjoy pretty much any kind of live music. You can check out more of my work at hannahmaynes.ca, or on Instagram @hmaynesphoto
