2018 sees NXNE bringing the music back to Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square with their Festival Village. The three-day event kicked off Friday with free shows by Sneaks, New Swears, Cadence Weapon, U.S. Girls and Azealia Banks. Wrapping up the night with his first hometown show in a year and a half was rising hip-hop star, and Canadian Beats favourite, Jazz Cartier who’s enthusiastic performance saw the artist cutting his hand open while walking the barrier in his third song.
