Album: Along For The Ride
Release Date: June 8, 2018
Alberta’s Renegade Station has released their new eight-track album Along For The Ride. This is a great old country mixed with new country album. Watching their videos and social media you can see this band has a strong bond and it is very apparent in their music. The band has come a long way since starting out as a backup band for a variety show in Alberta, Things have gone so well the band has taken on their music careers full time. The group used to be under the name Domino for nearly 13 years but recently changed it. Their first Gig as Renegade Station was at the CCMA Awards in Saskatoon, SK.
The melody on “Along For The Ride” draws you in and really captures all of the emotions involved. This was my number one pick for this album.
“Who’s Gonna Love Me Tonight” was the first music video release from this release in May. It really captured the raw emotion of this song. Everything about this video, song and delivery is exceptional.
Renegade Station have done an excellent job at putting this album together. I think if Canadian Country fans don’t already follow this band, they are doing themselves a huge dishonour. They are one of my new favourites! This band’s talent shines across all eight of these tracks, as a tight band of talented musicians and songwriters. This won’t be the last you hear from this band, this is just the start of a successful career for them!
My name is Marianne and a music lover from Nova Scotia. I am a full time working mom of 2 beautiful girls who are full of life and love. I have an absolute passion for music and writing, I jumped at the opportunity to freelance for Canadian Beats. I love local music, I grew up in a family full of Gaelic singers in Cape Breton but I also have a passion for country and just about anything else that catches my ear. Writing gives me something of my own that is completely out of my day to day activity, it somewhat allows me to escape my everyday.
When I am not working, writing and hanging out with my husband and girls, I am running, reading or riding my horse.
