Toronto is blessed with an abundance of amazingly talented indie rock bands and MONOWHALES are of no exception. This pop-infused indie rock quartet has been dominating the local music scene for several years, originally as Ginger Ale and the Monowhales. A recent rebranding has elevated this band even further and they have been receiving accolades and much industry attention in the months leading up to the anticipated release of their new EP, Control Freak. We were so impressed with the momentum of this band that we featured them as one of 12 Emerging Artists to Watch for in 2018.
MONOWHALES performed to a completely packed Adelaide Hall in downtown Toronto on Saturday night to celebrate the release of their new EP and we were there to capture the fun!

I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
