Based out of Montreal, pop-punk quartet Lost Love have released their new album Good Luck Rassco. Forming in 2013, the band has already released two EPs and two full-length albums, played over 300 shows including some major festivals in 15 countries and are still going strong. If you have ever enjoyed Weezer, Gaslight Anthem, The Pixies, Jimmy Eat World, or The Killers. This new album is definitely one to check out.

The new album brings a bit more mature sound compared to the previous releases and is packed with 11 catchy tracks. The band has a ton of amazing power pop-punk instrumentals that keep your head bobbing throughout the entire album. Lyrically, it possesses an arena-rock style that will keep you singing along with the chorus of each song.

The first single off of the album is “Clay Turris” which was released with a very awing music video full of some furry friends. The track itself fuses the stylings of Weezer and Jimmy Eat World, I found myself revisiting this track not just for the video but the heart-warming feeling that the track brought and had me bobbing along to the catchy drum beat.

Another personal favourite from the album is the fast-paced track “Pardon My French”, which brings flashbacks to junior high, hanging out with friends or skateboarding around our older communities in our city. With the guitar-riffs having a tasteful blend with a more arena rock melody, the track although having an upbeat feel, lyrically it had a much more sad feeling to it as it ends with “I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news”.

With the album’s release, the band already has a string of shows planned both in Canada and overseas in Europe. Check out the tour dates below. As well if you need new pop-punk in your life, something that could be jammed to, both over drinks on the patio or while playing sports, head over to the band’s Bandcamp and pick up a digital or vinyl copy of the new album.
