Dean Brody is not only the current CCMA Fan’s Choice winner, he is also a 16-time CCMA Award winner, and 2-time Juno Award winner, and today, he has released a brand new summer single, that is certainly going to be added to numerous summer playlists in the coming weeks and months. “Good Goodbye” was released across all digital and streaming platforms, along with another brand new song, “Dose of Country”.
The single, “Good Goodbye” draws inspiration from “having a little too much time between checkout and the flight and there happening to be a bar nearby”, says Brody, and soaking up the last moments of a vacation, transporting listeners to Mexico lyrically, and made complete with the addition of a choir and trumpets and a mariachi band.
“Dose of Country” is the ultimate road trip song, highlighting the pure joy that comes from getting out of the city for the weekend, to bask in whatever ‘a dose of country’ might mean to each individual listener – conjuring up images of camping, cottage weekends and good times. As Brody says, “Dose of Country was inspired by the city… and wanting to get the hell out of it and back into nature! The city always reminds me of how fortunate I am to be a country boy.”
Brody is teaming up with Twisted Tea for the summer, which will involve a contest and collaboration to host the ultimate summer party. The contest, which opens on May 30 at www.twistedtea.com/Twistedteap
If you’re looking to catch Dean on the festival circuit this summer, you’re in luck! He’ll be at Trackside Music Festival (ON), Country Thunder (SK), Country Thunder (AB), and Havelock Country Jamboree (ON).
