Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival artists announced
The lineup for the 42nd annual Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival was announced yesterday morning. For the first time, Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers are headlining, as well as local favourites The Once and The Ennis Sisters and children’s favourite, Fred Penner.
This year is also a first for new sponsor Quidi Vidi Brewery who will have beer tastings and will introduce a Folk Festival pale ale.
The 2018 Folk Fest is set for Bannerman Park in St. John’s from August 3rd to 5th. Tickets are now on sale at their brand new website. (nlfolk.com)
I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
