Montreal’s own Cashwaveyboiz have released a video for their single, “Last Night” featuring Nicole. The video is about a long night of partying and showing how they are all about having a great time with their crew. Check out the video below, and find out more about Cashwaveyboiz in our newest segment of Five Questions With.
Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Kenny: We are an Asian duo that goes by the name of Cashwaveyboiz and we are showing what [2 Filipino kids] from the slums of Montreal can do.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
Franky: Off the bat, you can tell our music is aimed towards catering [to] women. We cannot help it, we love and appreciate women.
Kenny: What is dope? on one hand got Franky, who is more about crazy flows and harmonizing. While me, I am more on that chill/ bar for bar delivery. Our styles are different, but they match up perfectly giving birth to our style: Wavey.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
Franky: We actually have 2 shows coming up. To be honest, after our last show it surprised me how crazy we lit the venue up.
Kenny: We love engaging our audience and giving them live acapella freestyles. Our shows get pretty crazy.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
Kenny: “Bad Tings”.
Franky: Definitely “Bad Tings”, the would be our next follow up single to “Last Night”.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
Franky: Canada is on fire right now. We listen to a lot Nav, Partynextdoor, The Weeknd and the whole OVO/Ox camp.
I’m Jenna, and I am the founder and editor of Canadian Beats. I have had a strong love for Canadian music, which started many years ago. I have a passion for promoting these talented Canadian bands and artists, and that’s how Canadian Beats came to be. I am so proud of what it has become over the last few years, with many talented music lovers and writers coming together to spread the word of Canada’s music.
