What multi-platinum country music superstars Dallas Smith and Terri Clark realized is that they could unite and do what few artists can do – deliver an electrifying duet – “One Drink Ago,” via 604 Records. These two country music icons who are also multiple JUNO and CCMA award winners and long-time friends decided it was about time they teamed up to produce this new single. After searching for the “perfect” song that would compliment what each artist has to offer, they came back to one of the first songs they listened to about a year prior to recording the one!
“One Drink Ago” tells a playful story about a night out with friends (his friends, her friends) and how their two worlds collide with a little help from a little liquid courage. The rock sound of Smith and the traditional country vocals of Clark come together in perfect harmony to create an upbeat and fun tune that will stay in your head.
You’ll be wondering “how we’ll ever live without what we didn’t know one drink ago.”
On April 10, on the iconic stage of the Grand Ole Opry, Terri Clark, who holds the honour of being the only female Canadian member of the legendary Grand Ole Opry, and Dallas Smith will perform a special performance of “One Drink Ago”.
Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
