Danielle Bourjeaurd, aptly named “redneck princess”, was voted “Best Emerging Artist” at the 2017 Indie Week Awards. She has recently been signed to the red dot roster (part of the ole label group). She joins a growing list of artists including George Canyon and Haley Reinhart already on the roster. We want to wish Danielle a heartfelt congratulations on this career milestone and can’t wait to see where 2018 takes her!
Danielle had this to say about her experience with Indie Week:
“So very blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of Indie Week 2017. It’s so amazing that so many artists get the chance to be heard. I was very honoured to receive the award for Best Emerging Artist of the year. There was a lot of talent there that night! I encourage everyone to apply & be a part of it. What great exposure it gave my band and I! Thanks Indie Week for continuing to support my journey in the music world. Hope to see you again for 2018!”
Her latest EP, Country Sorta Way is available for purchase now!
I’m Nicole, a biology teacher by day, but my life revolves around music. I’m that girl that you will always find with the concert t-shirt on and ear buds in. It is rare that you find me without some type of music playing in the background. I connect all of my life experiences to music. It truly has its own language in my heart. There is nothing more exciting than taking in all that a concert has to offer. I love to support local Canadian acts and attend as many shows that I can.
