TD Halifax Jazz Festival does a fantastic job bringing various events and talent to Halifax, and this event is no different. Providing multiple “All Ages” shows. The TD Jazz Labs. These free all ages events gives attendees a behind the scenes look at making music that includes artists talks, master classes and interactive concerts.
Saturday April 14th & 27 with afternoon shows at the Halifax Public Libraries in Halifax and Dartmouth as well as an evening show at Cafe Cempoal.
April 14th – Zoe Leger, Alderny Gate Public Library at 2:30 PM in Dartmouth. Zoe will be performing a mixture of her original Jazz Material and classics joined by bassist Willem Paynter.
April 21st – Danny Martin Group, Keshen Goodman Public Library at 2:30 PM in Halifax. One of the Maritimes’ premiere trombonists, Danny has carved his place in the Halifax Jazz scene.
April 27th – Bianca Palmer, Cafe Cempoal, at 8PM, Halifax. Bianca is a local drummer who has worked with amazing artists, Mo Kenny, Vulva Cultre, The Everywheres, Kurt Inder, Luka and Budi and has travelled across Canada with her projects.
TD Jazz Labs are a great opportunity for people of all ages to learn, develop their music styles and just gain access to music they may never have heard before live. Such a great opportunity for all the family.
