Who: Attica Riots, The Proud Sons & Septembryo
When: March 2, 2018
Where: The Gateway, Calgary AB
Winnipeg alt-rockers Attica Riots stormed into The Gateway on Friday night in support of their debut album Love Sunshine & Hysteria. The trio consists of brothers Kyle (guitar) and Anders Erickson (drums), both formerly of Inward Eye and Bobby Desjarlais (vocals/guitar) formerly of Bokononists. This band is amazingly tight and performed as if they were in front of 20,000 fans.
Do not miss seeing this band when they come to your town.
The Proud Sons (also from Winnipeg) hammered out a southern rock infused set with incredible vocal harmonies, driving guitars and a rock solid rhythm section. The band is set to release their first album on March 10 at the Pyramid Cabaret in Winnipeg. I can’t wait to add this add a Proud Sons recording to my music collection.
Hometown Calgary musician Septembryo opened the evening with a set of inspiring electro-alternative rock.
